A lucky youthful father of three got a golden chance to apologise to his disabled wife and amend the fences after Nairobi’s Senior Principal Magistrate Kennedy Cheruiyot adjourned the sentencing to allow reconciliation if the wife will allow.

While begging for leniency after pleading guilty to malicious damage to property contrary to 339 (1) of the penal code, Godfrey Karithi Wanjagi was very remorseful and promised the court to reform his unprofessional behaviour .

In his own defence without representation by officers of the Court, Wanjagi while very hesitant and nervous informed the court that it was not his intention to damage the plastic stools belonging to his disabled wife who sales sweets along Nairobi County downtown streets.

It is alleged that on the fateful day of 1st December 2019 along Tom Mboya Street Nairobi County Kenya, the accused willfully and unlawfully damaged three plastic stools worth 1,000 Kenya shillings the property of Jane Waithira Njagi the lovely disabled business lady and wife to the accused.

The State Prosecution was prepared and ready to bond four witnesses to testify against the accused in an offence which was reported at Central Police Station Nairobi County Kenya.

The accused will be sentenced to prison on Tuesday 17th December 2019 at 9.30am East Africa Time.
