COMMISSIONER OF LANDS SIGNATURE FORGED

Appearing before Nairobi’s Senior Magistrate

Zainabu Abdul at Milimani Law Court, Denis

Renchi Nyambare pleaded not guilty to three

counts of Conspiracy to defraud, forgery of a

title to land and uttering a false document.

The Senior Magistrate released the accused on

a bond of 0.5 million surety of the same or cash

bail of 0.3 million Kenya shillings pending trial,

as the state prosecution did not object to the

accused being granted bond.

It is alleged that on 13th day of April the year

2011 at unknown place within the Republic of

Kenya the accused Denis with others not before

the Court conspired to defraud Samuel Okwoyo

and Elizabeth of their land by making false

document namely title number, under the name

of Helen Nyakerarion Nyambara purporting it to

be genuine valid land title issued by Zablon

Agwata Mabea the Commissioner of lands.

In two separate charges the accused in his 20s

is alleged to fraudulently uttered a certain

document namely a copy of title to land and

also forged a copy of title to land.

The complainant through his officer of the

Court officer Joel Weru Advocate and

Managing Partner requested the trial court to

speedily hear matter since he lives 400

kilometers away from the Capital City and he

must make several trips .
