ALLEGED KENYAN FRAUD STAR ON THE RUN FROM RWANDAN AUTHORITIES CHARGED IN KENYA WITH OBTAINING OVER 18M

It was in the late year of 2019 where an alert

was issued by Interpol’s most wanted on the list

Nathan Loyd Ndungu from Muranga County

together with his wife Jenipher Mukonyo

Mbogo who appeared before Nairobi’s Senior

Magistrate Bernard Ochoi, where they were

charged with several counts of fraud related

offences.

The two lovely couple were charged with

Conspiracy to defraud, obtaining money by

false pretence and issuing a bad cheques ,

where they pleaded not guilty to all counts.

The State Prosecution objected to the two

couple being released on bond through oral

application, informing the duty Court that the

accused are a flight risk, the sentiments were

supported by the complainant officer of the

Court, Anthony Kamau Chege, who further

stressed that the conduct of the two accused

were in question and the duty court should not

grant them bond.

It is alleged that in the year 2020 early march

the accused together with his wife and jointly

with others not before the Court conspired to

defraud over eighteen million Kenya shillings

from a Kenyan company purporting that they

were in a position to finance avocado export

business, a fact the two accused knew was

false.

In several separate counts the two accused

Ndungu from Muranga County with his youthful

wife Jenipher, who is believed to be the sister of

a Kenyan Politician who vied for the Starehe

Constituency Parliamentary position and lost,

Mr. Steve Mbogo, the couple who were charged

with obtaining over 18 million Kenya shillings

from a City Company and issued several bad

cheques pleaded for lenient bond through their

lawyer.

The Senior Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochoi

in his brief ruling after the submissions by both

parties, remanded the two accused husband

and wife in a police custody for three days

pending bail and bond ruling requests

submitted on their behalf by their Officer of the

Court pleading for their release.
