THE GOVERNMENT OF KENYA EXTENDS BAN ON LOGGING TO 2021

The Government of the Republic of Kenya through the Environment department has extended the ban on logging.

The Former Director of Public Prosecution and now the Cabinet Secretary for Environment Keriako Tobiko in a press statement dispatched to media outlets Nationally, called for an extension on ban on logging.

Simply means that all Public/Government Forests including Private and Community Forests are not allowed to cut trees in the said Forests till the year 2021 by late January.

The Cabinet Secretary has also set up a team that will oversee and carry out the Valuation , verification and the mapping of all Countrywide Mature Forests Plantations within a period of four month.
