The junior Officer’s payroll got a boost after the application they filed before a Labour Court it’s prayers being granted by Justice Byram Ongaya.
The over three thousands Junior Police Officers who joined the disciplinary unit as graduates and those who sought further studies while serving will both get pay rise equivalent to the rank of a Sergeant.
While delivering the ruling Labour Court Judge Byram Ongaya termed the actions of Senior police Officers denying the educated Officers good remuneration as unjustified, irresponsible and very unfair.
The Officers with Degree will be elevated to Job group J as categorised in the civil servants Kenyan pay mode systems.
Over three thousands National Police service officers will be also entitled to hefty allowances just like their Seniors including promotions.
