GOVERNOR WAITITU AND HIS WIFE ARRAIGNED IN COURT AS HIS DEFENCE TO APPEAL HIGH COURT STEP ASIDE RULING

Kiambu County Kenya Governor Waititu’s defence scheme’s to outdo the High Court ruling on state officers to step aside.

As Governors Ferdinand Waititu his wife and other Officials were arraigned at Milimani Law Courts Nairobi County Kenya on Monday 29th July 2019 at 8.14 am East Africa Time.

The Governor faces economic crimes, misappropriation of Public funds, abuse of office and conflict of interest charges.

High Court Judge Mumbi Ngugi while delivering a ruling on Samburu Governor stay in office after being charged.

Lady Justice Ngugi clearly stressed in her lengthy ruling that Governor’s are State officers and State Officers must stay away from office once charged until there matter is determined.

Several Governors in Kenya has been charged with various offences at Anti Corruption Court.

The State Prosecution through application will object to Waititu being released on favourable bond and also submit the Governor to Stay away from office until his trial is heard and determined.
