OBADO OPPOSED TO VICTIM’S LAWYER CROSS EXAMINING WITNESSES

It is the discretion of the trial Judge to allow the victim’s lawyer to cross examine the witnesses.

In some cases the trial Judge’s always resist the victim lawyer not to cross examine the witnesses.

In their oral application before the trial Court, Migori Governor and his two co accused want the Court to stop Sharon lawyers from cross examining witnesses during the hearing on December 02nd 2019.

The three murder suspects Obado, Oyamo and Casper argue that, the State Prosecution is mandated to cross examine witnesses and not the Victim’s lawyers.

The deceased Sharon Otieno lawyers led by Opondo Kaluma and Prof George Wajakoya insists that they must cross examine the witnesses.

Lady Justice Jessy Lessit directed the defence to file their application before it and serve the parties pending submission in the next appearance.

Migori County Kenya Governor Zacharia Okoth Obado, Michael Oyamo ex Navy and County clerk Casper Obiero were charged with two counts murder.

The three were charged with murder of Sharon Otieno, her unborn baby and were released on bond.
