FREE CANCER SCREENING AND PUBLIC HEALTH EDUCATION LACKING IN KENYA

As Kenya mourns it’s leaders, Middle class, the poor and prominent personalities.

The Country is in total shock by the high number of new cancer cases .

47, 000 new cancer cases are reported yearly with the Country losing 37, 000 of it’s citizens every year.

In simple mathematics Kenya losses 80 people daily, with high number being women with cervical and breast cancer which is the highest.

While men mostly report cases of prostate cancer with Nairobi County leading in prostate cancer followed by Bomet County Breast and cervical cancer in women .

Countrywide women are leading with breast and cervical cancer followed by men with prostate cancer .

Prevention at an early stages is the only way out for the Citizens of Kenya.

As cancer related increases day by day in Kenya with the cost of treatment and maintenance proving beyond reach.

Time for the Country to build medical institutions at affordable prices to deal with the Cancer and also buy equipments in each 47 County’s is now.

Lifestyle change must also be adhered too by citizens to stay healthy.

Smoking, eating much roast meat, red meat and alcohol are some of the root cause of cancer but not all cancer related can be screened.

Frequent exercises to stay healthy reduces obesity, observing healthy diet and eating fruits will save the population from the deadly menace.
