DRAMA AS SUSPECT GOES TO POLICE STATION RECORDING STATEMENT AGAINST POLICE

There was drama before Nairobi’s Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Kennedy Cheruiyot after the trial Magistrate deferred plea taking and refferred the suspect back to Police Station Nairobi to record a statement against Police.

The suspect Kepha Ojuka a Mechanic operating a Garage within Upper Hill Nairobi County Kenya who was arraigned before the Lower Criminal court at Milimani on Monday 09th December 2019 at 9.30am East Africa Time to face charges of assault alleged that the Law Enforcement unit tortured him.

Kepha Ojuka through his Officer of the court Ayuo in a brief oral application submitted before Court requested for medical attention which he claimed he was denied before while being held in Police custody over the weekend .

He faces assault charges causing actual bodily harm contrary to Section 251 of the penal code, the assault charges are very serious offence before a lower criminal court.

It is alleged that the suspect who pleaded with the Court to defer plea, on diverse date of 28th day of November 2019 at Upper Hill within the Nairobi County Kenya, unlawfully assaulted the Complainant Samuel Mogaka Ocharo thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm.

The suspect will appear before Court on 10th Tuesday December 2019 at 9.30am East Africa Time for plea taking and to inform the Court if indeed he got medical services.
