Champions league holders Liverpool are now clearly a head with 16 points in the English Premier league, as Leicester City were shocked to 2-1 loss against fighters Southampton maintaining the second position with 45 points.

The position places Leicester into a gambling situation whereby, if Manchester City might win and grab three points against Aston Villa, then reduce Liverpool margin into 14 points with 47 points league standing and second placed position.
